A Relentless Pursuit of Excellence

Our Black Widow modernization program targets older systems and airframes that are nearing obsolescence, too costly to maintain, and lacking the functionality required to fit into an ever-evolving airspace structure or mission requirements. Our programs focus on solid aircraft with many cycles remaining on the airframe and engines and performance that is in line with newer aircraft.

For the operator, these upgrades can extend the life of an aircraft for decades at a fraction of the cost of buying new, more costly aircraft.

Our Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk customization addresses the need in the global market for customized, modernized, Black Hawk military helicopters that are repurposed for military, fire or VIP aircraft markets.

We modernize former UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters into a fleet of firefighting or utility mission aircraft to be put into service in the global market.

Providing 21st century technology to flying legends.

The Black Widow UH-1H, is the only helicopter to utilize the Pratt & Whitney PT6C-67D engine. This powerhouse has a superb power-to-weight ratio, offering high altitude performance at the very top-end and with up to 45% reduction in operating cost.

Transforming the traditional perception of what a purposeful utility helicopter should look like, the unmistakable look of a Black Widow helicopter has created a new yet instantly recognisable face within this popular helicopter genre.

Black Widow brings integration expertise that allows us to customize an armed configuration — for defensive or offensive operations — to the specific preferences of current and future Black Hawk customers.

Options are fully customizable and can include:
  • Armed external wings that feature a total of four weapons stations, with launchers for a mix of Hellfire and DAGR air-to-ground missiles,
  • 19-shot Hydra-70 rocket pod
  • Machine gun pod
Crew-served weapons can include:
  • 50-caliber (12.7 millimeter) machine gun mounted to the cabin floor
  • Window-mounted 7.62-mm mini-guns. The mini-guns can also swing into a fixed forward firing position operated by the pilot.
Depending on the chosen weapons configuration, the cabin can seat troops for a combined armed assault, fire suppression and support mission. Alternatively, the cabin can store additional ammunition for the guns and rocket pods, and an internal 200 gallon auxiliary fuel tank system for extended range and endurance.
